Hi all,

just got my 3500 mk1 back out after 12 years of storage. I am getting the following problem symptoms:

1. Power up standalone - no problem

2. Not connected ...using beo4 commands menu/0/4/go - quiet ticking sounds from both ends “Tchh tick tick tick tchh tick tick tick” repetitively

3. Plugin din7 to 3.5mm jack.(no device connected) - audible humm like quiet feedback

4. connect 3.5mm jack into any pc/iPad//iPhone - loud feedback overrides the sounds from the device.

Any ideas of cause and/ or solutions much appreciated.

thanks

Hi HamishF,

Welcome to Beoworld!  Please can you tell us whether your speaker displays "MCL SEL" or "PL SEL" when you press MENU 0 4 GO to open the 8 pin port?

I can then advise which version of speaker you have and if a special version of the cable is needed.  If you purchased the cable from my store (https://soundsheavenly.com) then please contact me directly with your order reference code so that I can check your order and resolve the issue for you.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
