Hi all,

What's the best way to connect a pair of BL18 and a BL19 subwoofer to BeoSound Core? (sound quality wise)

BL19 has a low-pass filter button but does the Core/BL18 automatically adjust accordingly to remove the bass from BL18 (high-pass filter) ?

There are 2 ways to connect BL18 to the Core with a daisy chain:

1. Via Powerlink: Core -> Powerlink -> 1st BL18 -> Powerlink -> 2nd BL18

2. Via Optical: Core -> Optical -> 1st BL18 -> Optical -> 2nd BL18

How do you connect BL19 to these setups ?

My understanding from the BL19 manual is that you can do

1. Via Powerlink: Core -> Powerlink -> 1st BL18 -> Powerlink -> 2nd BL18 -> Powerlink -> BL19

If I'm wrong please let me know.

It's not totally clear how do you connect BL19 to the Optical setup. (BL19 only has 1 PowerLink port).

If you are using cables then daisy chain the BL19 from the second BL18.

The 19 does have a low pass filter but the 18s do NOT have a high pass filter. So the 18s will continue to play their normal frequency range in this set up.

Using a Transmitter 1 for WISA connection would deal with this and adjust the sound management and cross overs automatically. This is really how they were meant to be used unless you have a BeoVision which would also handle it.

Thank you for the clarification about the cross overs and hi-pass filter in BL18.

So daisy chaining with PowerLink between Core, BL18 and BL19 is possible.

Is it possible to have BL18 connected via Core's Optical-Out and BL19 connected via Core's PowerLink in the same time ?

Or should I connect the BL19 with the PowerLink from the second BL18?
