Dear every people on Beoworld.
My cd player fult on my BC8500. The cd mekanise its at CDM 4/57 the cd start very fast at after short it stop at open the top gate again. I think lazer itis okay, because there are a red ligyte into in, but the motor spin ekstreemly fast, can one of you maybe help me?

I'm not an electronic tech boy but I had the same similar issue. On the old forum (where pictures are dissapeared!!!) I saw that one specific elco (capacitor 2103) on the CD boards has to be replaced. So I did, and guess what?

It has to be a specific 2130 capacitor, I suggest you contact member Dillen

I have try to replace the 2103 with a 33uf capitor, bur dint stil work Someone here they have repair this problem befor on BC8500/9500 before, and can the problem only be on the servo print or can the decoder print give that problem about too fast motor?

As long as the replacement C2103 was the blue Philips axial type, exactly as the original and not another manufacturer then I can't advise further. Hopefully Dillen or Joeyboygolf can suggest the way forward.
If the CD spins EXTREMELY fast, like it was part of a jet engine, it's most likely a problemwith the transistors that control the spindle motor.It has been seen before and, strange enough, it almost always spins in the wrong direction.
Can you provide a photo of the servo board for us to look at ?

Hey Martin, thank you for your respons, that a good point you say about bad trasistors. I find a old foto her from Beoworld that eksactly the same servo board in my BC8500. It s the latest cd unit ther was use in BC 8500/9500 call CDM 4/57.

I don't believe that these symptoms will be cured on the servo board.
I have cured several like this by replacing the CD Interface/Decoder board 31 although I could not find a fault on the boards.
Some of the IC's on this board do seem to run quite warm but cooling spray did not help. Might be bad solders?
TJ thinks it could be a transistor on the underside of the board but was unsualy non forthcoming.
I would be interested in your thoughts on this.

There are so many different (but quite similar looking) servo boards around.The board shown in that photo does not have the transistors, I am referring toand is not the type of board that I have seen make this fault.
