Beovision Avant 55 2014 - Apple TV 4K 60hz problem

I just bought a used Beovision Avant 55 2014 model from a B&O dealer. The software is the latest, and hdmi port 1 supports hdmi 2.0 and hdcp 2.1. The screen should therefore handle 4K 60hz SDR, but my Avant only supports up to 30hz. When I try 60hz SDR, half the screen turns green. B&O support in Denmark thinks there is something wrong (defective internal cable that is limiting the input from the HDMI)  The dealer don´t agree and thinks there's nothing wrong... So I'm confused. Anyone in here who has an Avant55 from 2014 that uses Apple TV 4K 60hz SDR that works? Best regards Robert

Have you tried another hdmi cable? I had no issues with this on my Avant 55 mk1. But you can’t use hdmi 4:4:4 perhaps.

Thank you for your reply! The cable I use is Belkin UltraHD 4K Hdmi. I have also tried with another cable with the same result. The chroma is on 4:4:4 when the output is 4K 30hz SDR and it works. When I try 60hz, it dont work with chroma 4:4:4 or 4:2:0

Thats weird. I used the original Apple hdmi cable that is not anymore available but it worked in 4:2:0 SDR 60Hz 4K.

Maybe power cycle both your tv and Apple TV?

Also, are you sure the tv has the latest firmware version? Maybe the current one isn’t available online anymore and the tv is stuck on an older one? That would make sense perhaps as the tv might then be limited to 30 hz. I don’t remember exactly all the turns it all took but I had a ps4 Pro connected to one of the other ports and it would also do 60 hz but not with hdcp content perhaps.

There is no internal cabling on Avant, it’s only the way with eclipse and harmony as they use an external panel instead of an integrated one.

The first five hdmi on Avant is soldered to the board. Only the sixth port has mini coax cabling to it. But that is a 1080p port only anyway.

I will second that statement. The Apple TV 4K 60hz SDR definitely works seamlessly with the Avant 55" Mk1
