9 pin (RS232) - Molex 8 pin - I can‘t identify the length of the cable...:)
maybe for cinema control om BS3 - controling an automation system..?

Looks like the connection between the ir-out on a beosystem 3 and the ir-in port on the beovision 4 screen.....if my memory serves me well.

Thanks for the details. Slot 3 IR it is, for the later versions of BeoVision 4 (that have the inbuilt IR receiver instead of the external eye).
