Hello,
I can't find any proof on internet that a "burgundy" beolab 6000 exists.I just see two types of red colour.
I believe that the darker red is uncorrectly called burgundy by some beolab 6000 owner.
Best regards
Olivier

I am aware of only one "red" and it was rather dark, burgundy even. Having owned a pair, the differences may be in the photography. I still have the matching Avant and the paint is a near match to BMW Canyon Red Metallic.
yeah..... I like the bright red color better. Might do a better job at sprucing up the home decor.
There are 2 types of red. Without quibbling over exactly what to call either color, what you are calling darker red is commonly referred to as burgundy. The newer brighter red was meant to match the 'red' of the BeoLab 3 & 9. That color hardly qualifies as red at all. I must say that once you have seen both, there is no chance of confusing them for one another, even in a black & white photo. The new red came with black grills/frets, and the older red shipped with matching color grills, just like the burgundy Avant.
We kid because we love.
Is this the burgundy you are asking about? In addition to the Beolab 1s and Beolab 6000s, I also have an Avant and a pair of Beolab 4000s in this color.

And a not so good picture of one of my burgundy 6000s
Quibble: Didn't the "new" red launch with the 6002? I can't remember seeing the 6000 in that.

The room I have my "burgundy" Avant in -is the spitting image color palette of yours, from the wall color down to the flooring.

Should I ever make it off my bottom
And find it again
Delighted I will be to reshare my ... decorum?
Hi
I am glad that you answer to this fundamental question as I know that you have a beautifull quantity of tv and speakers in "burgendy"/"red" :)
I m annoyed by your pictures because the colour of your frets doesn't match the red color of the aluminium part.
I would say the aluminium is "dark red" and your frets are burgundy.
So HOUSTON, we have a problem :)
I can't say that the aluminium color of your beolab 1 (avatar) match the color of their frets.
The aluminium is clearly red.
But I am not in front of them.

Get over it!
That's the way B&O designed them. You can't change anything now.
At the time, this colour was described by B&O as red. The popular name was burgundy.. There was no bright red option back then.
I have a pair of Lab 6000's just the same.
The bright red was launched many years later.
Regards Graham
Are you guys talking about this colour?
Here is a picture of the aluminum and the fret on my Avant. The aluminum is the exact same color as the aluminum on the Beolab 1s, 4000s, and 6000s, The fret color is exactly the same as the frets on my Beolab 1s, 4000s, 6000s, Beosound Century, and Beovision 10. I got the fabric for the Beovision 10 by ordering a fret in the burgundy for a Beovision 5 and removing the cloth and installing it on th Beovision 10 fret.
exactly this color.
Leslie, I would like to see a beolab 8000 with pink fret, look at your cellar, there should be one pair :)
Amazing collection.
Ok popular name is burgundy, official name is Red.
Finally, very beautiful color.

Razlaw,
Normal, it is a "french" color (wine from Bordeaux) :)
Don't abuse of this color !!!
It's a beautifull color indeed but unfortanetely not popular here in Holland.
So, if anyone is interested
No Beolabs 8000 in my closet and to be honest I've never seen 8000's in that color. Is there any?
I am interested, please send me a pm.
If this color exist for the 8000, I am sure you will find it.
Do you have top and frets available in this color too as spare part ?
PM send, no, I don't have spare parts left!
Razlaw:That's the picture.
Exactly!
As I mentioned in my very first post in this thread ... the early color's evaluation, at least, is subject to photography and the peculiarities of lighting.
Anything beyond "burgundy" is for the new kids on the *burp* block...
