I have the opportunity to purchase a mint Beomaster 8000 which I intend to link to various non-B&O components, including the ubiquitous i-Pod!

What experience do members have with the 8000 unit overall? I am not worried about linking it with other components, rather with the over-all experiences in using the item and in particular what problems they have encountered or that I may expect with what will be, an expensive purchase.

In essence, would members recommend the 8000 ?

Yes - recommend wholeheartedly, but beware that a 20+ year old piece of electrical equipment will need servicing if it hasn't already been done. I have the full system and it is really very capable.

What speakers are you planning on using with it? You need something big to take advantage of all the power on offer!
