Hi.

I used to be able to switch between my BS 9000 being remote controlled or not being remote controlled. I used some sort of code by pressing "SOUND"- something on my BEO4 for this. Now since the BS 9000 came back from getting a new laser installed, it's back to being remote controlled, witch is inconvenient, since I have a Beomaster 5500 in the same room, that also switches on, when I turn on the 9000 using the remote Erm..

So my question is what is the code for my remote?

Turn the BS9000 to standby/off.  Disconnect the BM5500 from power temporarily so it is not re-programmed too!

On the Beo4, press the POWER button and LIST together.  Then press LIST until OPTION is shown, press GO (centre button), and then press LIST to show A.OPT.  Then press 0.  The power light on the device may blink to show that it has been accepted.

That should switch off the IR.

Repeat with a 1 instead of 0 to turn it back on.

Hi.

This actually works, but since my BS 9000 is currently connected to my BV 7-40, to play through my BeoLab 7-2, it seems that even though the IR on the BS is turned off, it is still turned on by the BV when i push e.g. CD on the Beo4.

But thanks anyway. I am glad I found out how to toggle between turning the IR on and off again.
