Hi,
Just wanted to share with you what I think may be an interesting product for the B&O crowd.
B&O has been at the forefront on the WiSA front for many years and it seems other brands are now waking up.
Check this out:
https://www.buchardtaudio.com/products/stereo-hub
You can think of this as a Core + Transmitter 1 in one box.
On top of that, it supports more sources than the Core (Including Roon), has more inputs (several optical and hdmi).
They also have an iOS app that claims can do room correction (using the iphone as the calibration tool and then uploading that room profile to the hub)
It also seems to be distributed under different brands:
Buchardt: https://www.buchardtaudio.com/products/stereo-hub
System Audio: https://system-audio.com/product/stereo-hub/
Platin: https://www.phonar.de/english/wireless_hifi_eng.html
What do you guys think? I think this could be a great option for someone that wants to run a pair of 18s, 20s as a standalone music system or perhaps even connected to a TV via HDMI?
Got one today. Works flawlessly

Great to hear! Tell us more!
Did you try the room compensation, where did you buy it from?
Beovision 7-55 MK1 red, Beolab 10 red. Beolab 50, all black. Beolab 17 broken ice. Beolab transmitter. Apple tv4 and apple express 2.
Esax:Unfortunately, it looks like ***.
Haha, yeah sure that Transmitter white box and Core looks so great.
And what, the Core is making its way into MOMA?!
Got the hub from https://www.audiologica.co.uk/product/system-audio-stereo-hub/.
Not big in any way. Got it hooked up to my tv using HDMI arc with the volume being passed through, so the tv remote controls the volume. Connect to my Wi-Fi so AirPlay is available and automatically turns on the hub/speakers when connected.
After software updating to hub via usb stick, I turned the hub and speakers on and without any prompts they all connected together through WISA.
You can use the room calibration as that is on the hub not the speakers. Make a horrible noise and you walk around the room with your phone which is recording the signal. UpYou are supposed to have the hub visible to the speakers, however I have it in my media cabinet and the connection has had no problems as of yet.
I have no tried the analogue inputs for my Records or Beocord yet.

That is correct. You can look at the app on the App Store and it shows a graphic of the calibration it offers. Not full range, looks to be about 20hz to 300hz. Bass only really. The calibration was a nice extra for me, mainly wanted the WISA function.
Hi
System Audio claims that the stereohub doesn't support Beolab 18 + 19 because the way thay are set up i different.
Buchard audio claims that it does. Who should I believe. It seems like it is the same product
I can guarantee it works with 17’s and hence there is no reason it will not work with 18’s.
The only thing I would double check is that the hub can transmit a sub signal, as I am using stereo only.
Plain is the original manufacturer so I would suggest contacting them.
I purchased the Stereo Hub from System Audio to use with my Beolab 20's. I can confirm that it is indeed possible to pair the hub and speakers and get sound coming out.
I have also played around with the room correction and it does increase the mid range response but fails to correct the dreaded low end peak of the BL20's.
However I have two issues which are showstoppers for me:
1. The speakers play in mono. I assume this is because for B&O the left/right speaker channel is usually selected on the Transmitter - while on the Stereo Hub the left/right channel is selected on the actual speaker. Meaning for this setup I cannot tell the hub which speaker is which . resulting in both speakers playing the same...... Can anyone confirm this is the same for you?
2. I struggle to power on BL20's using the Stereo Hub when the system has been inactive overnight. I stream to the hub using Airplay or Google Cast and the speakers stay off. I am forced to press the pairing button on the hub to boot up the speakers.
Any other experiences using this otherwise really cool setup?
Reading the User Guide for that hub, it seems that you are right.
You can not select R/L with it - the hub is made for the SA speakers (where the actual speakers role is choosen).
So - despite the intelligent construction of the hub - it will be of no use for your BL20’s.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Yes Unfortunately this clever little Hansong Platin Hub sold by System Audio and Buchardt does not work with the BL20's - at least not if stereo is important.
Would have been pretty amazing to have Core, Transmitter and room correction in one little box :)
B&O take notes!
I can only comment on the beo 17's. But to my knowledge they work on the same tech as the 20's
1) You can get them to work stereo. The left right config is actually set on the speakers as of the WISA standard (even with b&o hub). It just does not have a switch like the System Audio speakers. It is set via the beo's mac address.
You might be unlucky that both of your speakers are assigned to the same channel. However, it seems this can be changed. B&O will be able to change this or you can yourself. (This is how the beo tv's etc assign the channel. They change the speakers mac address.)
This manual might be a good place to start: https://www.primare.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/WiSA-User-Guide-Update-2.pdf
2) I had to update the hubs software and now it works flawlessly. You need a USB stick to plug into the back of the hub.
Instructions are here: https://system-audio.com/new-software-updates-for-silverback-and-stereo-hub/
Had mine running since January in Stereo with no issues. I am using HDMI Arc, Streaming via Airplay/Chromecast and Line in to record player/cassette player.
Hope you can get them all set up well
@charlessims
Thanks for that info - hopefully ronnisteen still has his SA device to try this.
Thanks for the info - much appreciated!.
I will contact B&O and see if they can help me change the channel on one of the speakers.During this process I also updated the firmware on the BL20's and I actually think it improved the sub-bass frequencies - which was the primary reason for starting this project. So even if I don't get the help from B&O I need - I have at least made some progress :)
P.S: The Stereo Hub came with the latest firmware (according to Google Home).
