Hello Beoworlders,

I would like to connect a Chromecast to my old Beovision 5 but unfortunately this tv is only fitted with scart (peritel) sockets, no hdmi or DVI.

Converters Hdmi to scart can be found on internet but they all deliver a composite signal through their scart socket and then a poor quality picture.

My question, do you know a converter or any kind of equipment able to provide a good component video signal on the output scart ?

Thank you for your help. Marc

If you want good quality the best choice is to get some professional equipment converters e.g. from Gefen, Blackmagic design etc.

For example: https://www.gefen.com/product/hdmi-composite-s-video-scaler-GTV-HDMI-2-COMPSVIDSN

Old convertes should be found cheaply on the 2nd hand market. The professional products are very often welcome solutions for problems that can't be achieved with consumer products.
