EQ sounds more like a noise cancelling E8 (Q for Quiet?) because that's what's missing on E8.

You know what the Level is but you have to guess what the other products are?
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

You are right in your displeasing of this trend, but sadly it is not only B&O, this seems to be the new normal.
Anyways if this is true about surround it would be really great.
And the Beolab 17 have a replacement.
But if the new Beosound Level should be able to do this, then maybe the Balance would also be able to do this? As it was the first on the new audio platform.

So here we are finally! The Beosounds will be usable as Beolabs! (like if Core is directly integrated to beolabs). This is promising and is a good move : you'll be able to use your speakers the way you want, either direct streaming, or stereo pairing, or integrated in a cinema setup. Ultimate versatility.

@Steve1977 : there is a misunderstanding, I have no insider information, I was just replying to Hiort who wrote that the Beosound Level could be used as a rear speaker for Eclipse and Harmony.
The only product being based on the new audio platform is currently the Balance, so no hope that it will be possible for the current version of the BS1. And it may be too power intensive to work on battery so I doubt BS1 will be compatible one day!
Hiort:Balance will be able to pair with another balance using Google app to be left/right speaker. Assuming coming Level will use same functionality. I was a bit misleading in my post. You are able to stereopair Balance already now. (You can do the same with BS1 GVA)

I think it's a standard Google Chromecast feature to get two speakers to play the same track simultaneously, like in a group, but not necessarily in stereo (split L and R channels).
