Hello

I hope someone can help me. My girlfriends grandparents have a B&O beovision 8-32 tv and a Humax HDR-Fox T2 box for recording free sat. They have always used the tv remote to control the tv and Humax box the engineer set this up when they bought it. This week though the remote isn’t working on the Humax box it still works for normal digital tv and for switching to the Humax but they can’t change channels or get to the recordings anymore. It seems like the remote has become disconnected from the Humax box. All the cables are connected properly but they can’t access the menu on the tv either.

Has anyone ever had this problem before or know of a way to get it reconnected the remote they have a a BEO4 remote control.

thank you in advance

HI and welcome to Beoworld!

First thing to check is the IR transmitter cable.  There should be a thin wire that is plugged in to the back of the TV (via a 3.5mm plug/socket) and runs to a small (5mm x 5mm) square IR Transmitter that is glued or stuck to the front panel of the Humax.  This relays the IR signal from the BV8-32 to the Humax.

If it has come unstuck, or has been moved from its position on the front of the Humax then it will not work properly, if at all.
