Hi All,
been working on my TX2 but hit a roadblock âšī¸
Could this be related to the 11RI in the optic part or L272M (IC2) ?
really would appreciate some pointer/help if you can.....
As always thank you kindly
ALF
Sorry guys, something went wrong here....this part was left out in my previous post?!
adjusting the servo as per SM instruction gets the carriage either racing forward or not moving at all.
belt is fine and so is the motor !!
Bad LDR in the tracking opto system? They are known to break down internally - actually visible if you look closely at it.Available from Beoparts-shop if needed.
Martin
Thanks Martin,
i will have a close look at the LDR in question.
pity though, if one from Beoparts has to be ordered it may take up to almost 2 months before I get it.... đĸ
i wonder if an LDR with 20kOhm (presumingly the max value for light ?!) would be worth a try ?
However the partslist specified an LDR 28kohm !!! đ
piosed to give it a shot.
sadly I did not get to the stage of actually testing that newly installed LDR as I can not get the tonearm back in position so its horizontal ??
There are no obvious signs of missing or broken parts according to the explosion drawing in the SM ??
i keep scratching my head why the tonearm is hanging down ? All springs are present and functioning, the black plastic lever is behind the
white horizontal bar......what am I missing here ??
the holder - part 1110 - hangs in very loose and the arm is just simply sagging with its cover on ?
the lowering and lifting white rod works fine.
i'd love to hear your suggestions, please
No one ??
all parts are present and there seem to be no other way of re-assembleing all ?!
???????
any good idea most welcome đđ¤
some good news at last after discovering the damage, thanks to an archieved forums post and the right picture !
what happened was the triangular pin on the underside of part 1106 had broken off - difficult to see, especially when you don't suspect to find anything
there đ
however looking at part 1110 - which grabs the pickup arm from the front - has a spiked arm at the top and at its bottom arm has a triangular hole, fitting
through that pin of part 1106, essentially holding part 1110 in place.
the repair was tricky but a cut-off upside down small nail with a nice flat head was the best I could find, glueing it into position where the plastic pin
Should have been.
so, that was basically the reason for the sagging (hanging down) pickup arm. A friendly previous owner damaged screw B of the pickup arm as well.
so height adjustment was history but a small creditcard bit put on the "landing pit" of screw B (or what was left from it) adjusted the arm just to the correct
height - you got to have a bit of luck soemtimes đđž
now I could finally test the "wrong" LDR replacement to set the servo - after some fiddling and a demonstration of patience the servo works and the
carriage moves nicely forward as it should .......isn't that lovely ?
when the table was purchased I suspected the typical broken plastic anker that holds the carriage string in place...but no, some other surprises instead !
to be fair, the sagging arm was mentioned , but........đ¤đ
still checking for some other surprises before a clean bill of health will be issued !
thanks to all who followed - you have done well đ¤
