Hi everyone, newbie here.

I have been offered a Beocenter 5000 a few months ago.

It was in great condition, everything was working fine, but I recently noticed that the sound coming from the Right output (both for the speakers 1 and speakers 2 outputs) was crackling.

I guess there must be some faulty connection somewhere.

Do any of you have any experience with this, and maybe a fix?

For what it's worth I wouldn't mind getting a service shop to look at this, but I'm based in London and I don't know where to go to (+ these things are a pain to move around).

Thanks!

In case that helps, I have lifted the operation chassis and connected the speakers directly to the output amplifier, but the problem remains the same. Any idea what might be causing this crackling sound?

Could be a few things. I’d get those ROE caps changed for a start.

That makes sense, although I'm probably not skilled enough to service the thing by myself.

Do you know a trustworthy shop in London/UK area that I could contact to have a look at it?

Thanks!
