As per my previous thread...my beovision was damaged by a lizard crawling into the tv......B&O quoted a horrendous amount for the repair (which they are entitled to do). I had a technician from Yamaha come and look at the tv and he repaired on the spot for R600.00 which is about 46.15 pounds!! B&O wanted to charge me 750 pounds for the board alone!! So I'm so happy.

My question is, I have my Beolab 8000 speakers connected to the tv but I am wanted to also connect my Beosystem 3500 to the Beolab 8000 speakers....is there anyway of doing this? Can't use masterlink as the Beosystem does not have that.

Any help greatly appreciated as usual.

Thanks

Ben

Should work via a Beolink Converter (1611), integrates TV and Beomaster.

Take a look HERE or HERE for more information.

Sorry more questions!! Well after the tv was fixed...I found out the Beolab 7.1 was also damaged by a lizard.....short circuited the board and so I had the joy of removing the remains of another charred lizard.

I have connected my Beolab 8000 speakers to the TV. When using DVD the sound is good but when playing a CD the sound is not half as nice as when the speakers were connected to my Beosystem 3500. Is that normal, mainly it lacks bass? I connect the speakers to two powerlink sockets on the far left of the tv not the ones that are for surround sound. Is that correct?

Sorry this is my first Beovision and didn't realise I had so much to learn!!!

Thanks so much

Ben

I bought from a lady who obviously was over run with them. It got in via the two back holes.....bass expander holes?

Just ridiculous!!

Ben, I think you should read the manuals (set-up/reference)...

It should be on the B&O Website.

Also, try different speakers options (tell the tv you got the speakers, then select SPEAKER 2 or 3 for 2 or 3 speakers).

You might be getting a phone call any day now from the lizard lady looking for her pets  :-)

She must stay away from me and my house!!! The Tv and Beolab were fully of lizard droppings too!

There are definitely some very odd people in this world!
