Hello all!

I am having trouble with a pair of BeoLab 4000's I've picked up second hand.

Speaker 1): Always green (in powerlink L/R or line mode), plays fine though.

Speaker 2): Same as above, but in addition only plays treble, no bass whatsoever.

Speakers have serial staring 15xxxxxx and have the white foam inside so no foam rot.

Any ideas please?

Thanks BeoMedia

These faults have now been identified and rectified. I decided it was too complex for me to have a go at and sought assistance.

The lack of bass in one of the speakers (only some vague hissing from the bass driver) was due to faulty IC's on the main board in relation to the audio filter.

Speakers staying in green LED despite you can hear the relay switch (so they probably turned off correctly despite the LED stayed in green) was a fault in the power supply boards (faulty transistor).

This was all repaired by a brilliant engineer who managed to identify and fix the problems swiftly and return it to me by post. If you need stuff repaired pm me as I can strongly recommend him.
