Hi all, I have a Beomaster 6000 Type 2702 that plays on 3 outputs, but the rear right plays through the speaker only for a few seconds before the sound fades out completely. (It is not an issue with the speaker or speaker connectors). I am aware that this system is difficult to access and I have blown output resistors before when the board touched the aluminium plate.

My question is does this sound like failure in one of the four large capacitors or the smaller capacitors on the output board or the output transistors assigned to this audio channel? The fact that the sound plays for a few seconds perhaps points to a capacitor problem?

The same thing happens to the rear right on headphones. Sound plays for a few seconds disappears and is replaced by an electrical hum

The system also thumps though the speakers when switched on. I believe it is one of the earlier models, without the red LED standby light.

Kind regards,

Struer.
