Hi all!
Im wondering what are your thoughts about getting an used A6 speaker or buy a new M5?
They are quite similar in price.
But what about the sound?
I have some M3-speakers for multiroom today and they sound (in some) music pretty well in Chromecast stereo pair good.
The M5 is probably more bass than A6? But overall sound?
Or should I maybe go for the Beosound 1 for some hundredth euro more? A totally different speaker. But I like the clarity of the treble that lens hopefully offer in other hand.
Some advise?
I have one A6 and four M5s. I first purchased an M5 then the A6. The A6 looks great, but performance is disappointing. For me, the M5 just sounds better, which is why I got more of them. However, I haven't listened to them side-by side in the same room, so I admit I'm not 100% sure. I'm away from home tonight, but could put them side-by-side tomorrow night and give them a comparative listen if you'd like.
I expect Beosound 1 would sound better than either, though I don't have one for comparison. If BeoSound Level is within your budget, all reviews indicate that it's quite clearly the top performer of these smaller speakers. I have one arriving tomorrow so I could include it in the listen against the M5 and A6. :)

* Yes, really! 🤦♂️
My experience is that BS1 has noticeably less bass performance than M5. FYI.
Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

I have M5, A6 and BS1 (and M3s).
I would rate M5 and BS1 before A6 and M5 slightly above BS1.
M5 is more "boomy" than BS1 and A6.
A6 has the benefit of wider soundstage, but is a bit "sharper" in the sound and may lack a bit in the midrange.
