Well, finally pulled the trigger on a new Eclipse to replace my (still going strong) 13 years old Beovision 7 - before/after photos and more later when everything is up and running 100%. After a week with this new lovely I am very pleased with the Beovision feeling and the overall package. Running only 2 video sources: ATV4K and 4K blu-ray player all works perfectly. Beolabs 9 front and Beolabs 4000 rear.
Now the problems:1. When turning on TuneIn the system comes alive and sometimes no sound and at other times only sound for 1/2 a second. Another press on the Music/TuneIn button on Beoremote One and sound comes alive. The second press can be after 30 seconds or 2 minutes, no difference. Buffer set to 5 seconds. 2. When playing music through Airplay from iPhone, I can tick either or all of my 2 M5's or Beosound 1 and music is playing as it should. When ticking Eclipse in the Apple Music menu no sound from the Eclipse, if the Eclipse is in standby or a video source is playing - the screen says Airplay, but no sound. Sometimes I have to untick / tick Eclipse in Apple Music menu once or twice, sometimes several times before sound. Most times Airplay works right away if TuneIn is on and replaced by Airplay. For both issues I have tried both speaker settings as start (opstart) and 2.0, but no difference.
My only music source now is Apple Music which have worked flawlessly for the past couple of years on the M5'S and BS1 (along with BS5/BM5 linked with BV7) and they still do - so the Eclipse seems the be the troublemaker. Both wired and wireless was initially set up on the Eclipse - now I have removed wireless to see if double networking could cause some conflict, but no difference at all...
I really hope that it is just a settings thing, and really appreciate any help.
Cheers D
Since November 2020 I'm also a happy owner of the Eclipse 2. No issues like the ones you describe, but have you updated both the TV and the sound center to latest software ? There have been a few since I got the TV. Only issue I have had, was that the GX panel did not like my 5GHz net on my YouSee router (some dropouts) after switching to my Apple Extreme 5Ghz - then no issues. I also assume you have entered you log-in credentials to Tune-In in the B&O app on the TV? so you don't need to stream from phone ?
Otherwise just call your dealer or B&O helpdesk - I have found both to be extremely helpfull..
Best of luck in getting all tip top... it's really a great package.
Best regards Carsten
Thank you Carsten, Finally the new software came, and this solved the TuneIn issue.Still i cannot start to Airplay Apple Music without first starting up the TV on TuneIn. Apparently I am the only one with this issue...
