Just received a second hand beosound 1, turned it on and could raise the antenna
, pressed load and the CD came up, pressed play for the CD, cd spins and then stopped.
Then the unit did not respond anymore and the dot led light is flashing very quickly.
Checked around the net, the user manual and the service manual, could not find anything related to a blinking flashing light.

Nope, checked the user manual and the service manual, to be able to enter a pin code you must have access to it, to be able to enter it.
as soon as you start anything, like the radio, less than 3 seconds after it shutsdown and the led is blinking.
Looks more like a safety lock up
The Pin code boxes will appear when you need the pin (4 x red boxes on the LED display)

This confirms that no code is needed, as when I press radio it says Pr1 (if I remember well) radio works for 2 sec. and then shutdown with a fast blinking led light.
Just got the reply from my email to B&O Danemark :
From your description of the problem it is difficult for us to help you from a distance. We therefore suggest you contact a Bang & Olufsen dealer who will be pleased to try to help you further or refer to an authorized workshop. I think it might be faulty however this is hard to say.
They replied 40 mns after I sent my question but it is useless, but I was pretty shure that it would be their answer. Business is business.

I have the same problem, yet instead of only working for 2 seconds, it shuts down after 2min. But same symptom with led, antenna and so on.

I'm somewhat late to this party, but I encountered the blinking LED issue the other day and seemed to have solved the problem (at least for me). It may be too late for those who wrote here, but hopefully this can help others with this issue. Long story short, it was related to bad capacitors on the power supply PCB.
I have c. 2000 Beosound 1 that does not have the pin code feature so I knew my issue was unrelated to that. What was happening for me was that I would listen to the radio or CD for a few minutes and then suddenly I would hear a "pop", the unit would stop playing and the red LED would come on (blinking fast) and the unit would be completely unresponsive. I could unplug the unit and plug it back in again, and the unit would work, but for a shorter period this time before it would "pop" and return to the flashing LED condition. The blinking red LED was something I'd seen in some of my other older B&O equipment and it was previously related to dried out/dead/leaking capacitors on the boards. This was the case here. I opened the unit up and accessed the power supply board (it's separate from the main board). I removed the screws for the power supply PCB and unplugged that board from the main board. There are 15 electrolytic capacitors on the power supply PCB. I noticed that C9, C13 and C17 (all 10V 1000uf) appeared to have some leaking. They also appeared to be of a different brand than the Nichicons on the rest of the board. I desoldered these three capacitors and replaced them as well as some of the other capacitors that I had replacements readily available for. I did not replace all 15 capacitors, but I would recommend others who attempt this repair do so for a more thorough job. I screwed the power supply board back into the unit and plugged it back into the main board. I then powered it up and I haven't had any issues since. My guess is that if you are seeing a fast blinking LED unrelated to a pin issue, it is due to bad electrolytic capacitors on the power supply PCB. I did not replace the caps on the main board. If you are somewhat handy with a soldering iron, accessing them and replacing them is fairly painless. It took me about an hour to do. Opening the unit is also simple if you have a set of Torx wrenches.
I have some images from the repair if anyone needs a hand. The repair was pretty painless and my Beosound 1 is running well again. . Sorry to revive an old thread but I hope this is useful. Below is the the list of electrolytic capacitor values should you want to try the repair yourself. I recommend confirming on your unit that these are the same before replacing. Also be sure to observe polarity.
C2 = 25V, 2200uf
C3 = 200V, 220uf
C4 = 200V, 220uf
C5 = 25V, 220uf
C6 = 10V, 1000uf (was leaking in my unit)
C7 = 25V, 2200uf
C9 = 10V, 1000uf
C12 = 25V, 470uf
C13 = 16V, 1000uf (was leaking in my unit)
C14 = 63V, 47uf
C15 = 63V, 47uf
C17 = 10V, 1000uf (was leaking in my unit)
C19 = 25V, 220uf
C31 = 25V, 10uf
C34 = 25V, 220uf
Sorry. Minor Note. C13 should be 10V, 1000uf, same as C6 and C17
I have put together a brief PDF guide to help those who want to perform this repair. Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to upload it here... Feel free to message me if you'd like a copy. The guide assumes that you know how to desolder electrolytic capacitors from a PCB and resolder new ones in place of the old ones.
My parents have a beosound 1, which has the problem you are describing, if you have a pdf that would be splreapprec as I would like to get the unit back up and running again

But may i suggest to convert it into a series of jags and make a thread in the worship section from them. May be conveniently useful to anyone in the future.
