No news on any updates that I know of and we've also seen what's in the short-to-medium term production.
I don't see B&O spending too much more time on larger expensive wireless speakers now they have the A9 and Edge in the range. I don't think they sell many Edge, either. Just received a promotional price discount and I rarely play mine. The audio is weird. Much prefer my BeoSound 2 or Balance.
Far more demand for something like the Level at £1000.
I would not necessarily assume there is another version coming any time soon. Generally speaking, B&O doesn't move very fast, and I'd say the 2 year cadence for new versions of the A9 is more the exception than the rule. Then again, I don't know anything... just a long time customer.
For me it's logical that a MKV will come, but without any difference regarding sound, just to update its audioplatform to the new Mozart platform (found in the Balance & Level), but as the NL will only come to this platform at the end of the year, I do not see a A9 MKV until 2022.
Concerning the Edge, it's in constant discount here, and there's no way I would "upgrade" my A9 to an Edge. The A9 looks like an Anish Kapoor sculpture on the wall where the Edge is just a big cylinder...

Oddly, having owned an A9 and now an Edge, I prefer the Edge for design. A9 took *way* too much space. And most people did think it looked like a dart board.
Each to our own I guess!

The difference of views between you and me is that you put your speaker on the floor (where I can see the advantages of an Edge vs an A9, but the "juste a cylinder" design is a bit too simple), and I put my speaker on the wall (where the Edge is a joke with its B&O wall bracket perpendicular to the wall, and too heavy looking with a STB bracket aligned to the wall, with the loss of 50% of its speakers in this position)
