Hello,
As I will move a big part of my equipment in a new flat, I will (normaly) be able to drill some holes to place surround speakers.
The surround speakers will be located on a wall at 2 to 3m at the rear of the ears in "normal" viewing position. So I'm wondering what is the best :
-Place speakers at ear level
-Place speaker above ear level, just under the roof.
To me, ear level is more logical, but I'm not sure I would like this solution visually, AND if you go in a theater, rear speakers are always placed above ear level, not at ear level.
So... What do you think will sound the best?
thanks

Hi alexsunny123,
Based on my experience( Beolab 2,7.4 centre channel,Beolab 8000 front and Beolab 4000 rears) I would think rears at ear level would give you the best sound.(Theatres are a whole different ball game).
As for liking the result visually ,only you can decide.( My Beolab 4000's were mounted on stands behind the listening position,at ear level and the sound from the complete system was outstanding.)
What is the position of the rears in your current set-up?
Regards
Noel.
