My Beocom 6000 has the indicator light flashing all the time after I received some unanswered calls. I can't turn off the flashing light. I removed the battery, powered off the base to no avail. If anyone knows how to solve this please let me know. My phone is the earlier model, I think it's called MK1
thank you!
Does it not stop flashing after you press the caller ID button and step through all the missed calls?
Stoobie
It used to stop flashing after checking all the missed calls, but no more.
My BC6000 indicator continues to flash if I have an answerphone message waiting - it's the answerphone provided by my telephone provider so there's also a change to the dial tone until you have checked the message.
If you scroll through the missed calls list you should see one that still has an asterix ✷ in front of it. This would be the one causing the light to flash. I have a Fritzbox cable modem/router/telephone system with an integrated answerphone. If someone leaves a message the 6000 the caller-ID says "Message" (actually its in German and says "Mitteil.Dienst" .To stop the flashing and get rid of the asterix I have to call up the Fritzbox internally and listen to the message.

I can see the asterix * in one of the missed calls number. How do I get rid of it? Can I erase all the received calls?
It is usually sufficient just to scroll through the received/missed calls list. If I scroll past a missed call with an asterix when I scroll back through the asterix is gone. (Except in the case I outlined above)

normally it should change to a -> as soon as it has been viewed.and you scroll back to it.
Press the middle button in the ring and watch what is displayed. It says "x CLIPs" if there are still unread entries;
if all have been read it displays the number of free entries in your phonebook instead.
If you scroll the "clip" all through the end (there are 24 entries max. on my version) all entries should be marked as read (->)
Sometimes there are * after entries with a ->; just scroll through all the way.
That's the way I have it here - and it's an old (white key) 6000 as well.
But I do have a danish version - texts might differ from my "translation"

EDIT: oops, Tim was faster
Yes, that's how I always do, but now that missed call is still with the * and won't go away. Also I don't have any voice messages. I can't think of anything else to do and now I never know if I have new calls without actually looking at the display.
Its a long shot, but have you tried calling the number back?
If you scroll to the call with the asterix and then press the middle button of the scroll wheel the number will be called. That should get rid of the asterix (perhaps)
Just think of a good excuse when the opposite end answers!
