After a 6 year wait to get my hands on a Beolab Terminal for my 8000 system, I sat down today with my pipe and slippers to listen to some old tapes. I loaded up the KLF's White Room and pressed TP1 and....
Nothing! The bloody Beocord 8004 is jiggered and though the tape heads engage, there is no output and no sign of life on the level meters. Oh dear. You spend money to discover a problem you never knew you had :P
Mmmm the KLF's White Room - I have that and Justified & Ancient on a "double" CD. Love listening to it just loud enough to upset the neighbours (but while they are out of course!). The CD is like 2 cases stuck back to back (not the newer 2CD cases you get now) with two completely separate cover/booklet inserts
Good luck with a repair, you must be gutted.
