wonderfulelectric:

I would if my Ipad 3 isn't so bashed up looking already. And I am sure B&O will come up with an A3 replacement. Smart if they make that something that can be sold in flight as well.

A way better looking and built version of the bluetooth Definitive tech Sound cylinder will be very nice! Frankly I think it is great as it is already for the price range that is but B&O can make a luxury version of it. I will wait for B&O to step up till I get a Ipad sound dock. I have never gotten one before actually. I have always been waiting for a flashy show off worthy yet practical version from B&O.

And frankly the whole Beoplay branding is unnecessary. They could have just grouped the whole i range of products under a new category in the current core brand. Like what B&W did with the Zeppelin. Unless they are going to make the BeoPlay as well built with as the core range I suggest a total abandonment. The Zeppelin did nothing but strengthened B&W's market dominance. Just like how Focal's pro sector had only strengthened the image of the core range despite performing more while priced a lot less. I dunno... do B&O not do market research? What exactly is B&O's angle now?

PS. The whole audiophile and high end vision market is very marked up in general but if B&O know how to play their cards right. It's total domination!

I see you haven't taken Puncher's advice after all, WE.

I have no idea what this response has to do with the thread or with my posting.

Ermm We are talking about the A3 which is under the Beoplay range aren't we? And I did say how I wish I can buy the A3 if not for the fact that my iPad3 is so bashed up looking already.

And just to add again... Isn't the B&O core range as playful looking as it can be already? Have you seen funkier designs out there? So what's with Beoplay?

Plus 50% off posted up so in your face on the website is so.... Not helpful to the brand. They should have given them away instead.

And I am talking about a future A3 replacement. It is definitely not a concept that should be abandoned. It might prove as profitable as the Earset in the past if done right.

Plus really do you think I was intending to take Puncher's advice or was I simply trying to be polite? Oh please....

Plus some of you are so all over the place whilst giving me critics on doing the same and I really wonder why that is?

Have you seen me calling any of you guys out for.......

Plus when you think about it I am the only few here giving constructive criticisms... Some criticize without even giving any valuable inputs.

So what does it really mean by being a BeoFan? One who both raves and criticize some of the B&O products  only?

An apology can also have many other meanings too. Perhaps try reading into things beyond the surface?

The B&O product range is defined as 'Luxury Integrated Audio Visual Systems'. The B&O Play range 'BeoPlay' is the name of the website, notthe sub brand) is the non integrated product line up, i.e. a playful, accessible, standalone product. I don't see the confusion? Both brands clearly say 'B&O', and all the B&O Play products have a prominent B&O logo proudly displayed on the front. Are you sure it isn't just you that is confused?

Oh well.. Earsets and headphones are not completely standalone are they? There's the Beovision11 and Beovision 12 that are completely standalone too with its built-in surround module just like the BeoPlay V1. So... And the products created under the BeoPlay brand are not priced remotely closed to the core range so.... Well you make the deduction.

So tell me what's behind the whole BeoPlay brand?

Speaking of accessibility for the Beoplay you reinforced the points I made already!

And correct me if I am wrong there is another CEO for the BeoPlay range.

To exactly the same extent that the A9 and A8 are standalone. You need a source for all of them to play music from. Only, the earsets and headphones are portable and doesn't require a power outlet.

It's certainly more elegant than some of the competition.

In what way are earsets and headphones not standalone in terms of B&O, and since when are BV12 - masterlink and cinema master product - and BeoVision 11 - the first of the NL products - standalone and not primed for integration?

As for the pricing, obviously they are designed to be at the lower end of the price list, though the A9 is up there close to the BeoSound 4, and the V1 is less than the old BeoVision 8's were.

Oh, and you're wrong - there is not another CEO for the B&O Play range.

OK ok... B&O is right where it should be.... And we all know where exactly it is no?

FIne you like the BeoPlay concept. And I should not be harsh about it especially so open in this forum.

Lol.. I don't know kinda cute and geeky and obviously for a different target market from B&O.

Perhaps the hippies will buy? I dunno... But it definitely takes some guts to bring that product range out.  LOL... I will be too shy to display them out.. Even if I like them.

I would keep reading your elongated posts, but I find myself watching the rugby pint in hand just thinking, bollocks to all this rubbish.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I must be one of the few people that actually likes my A3!

It's a useful device for moving around the home, listening to the radio and I've used the device as a secondary alarm. At 50%, no complaints from me. Charges the iPad, too.

The only downside for me is getting it in and out of the A3. The iPad 3 isn't a good fit and you have to get the rubber rim off, when you want to use the iPad away from the A3.

And you think that this still makes the A3 a good device? It was exactly because of its fiddly nature that I thought the A3 was never going to make it from the get go... Unless that is you have multiple Ipads with one for the A3 and the other for reading etc... I actually give my old Ipads away ( one stolen along with my red prada Ipad cover... that SOB, the other gave away)..

Yeah wasn't the A3 released near the release date of the Ipad 3 though? Very bad timing.

I am totally waiting for the Ipad 5. Hopefully with bigger memory please! Magazines and books quickly fill it up already... and not to mention HD movie downloads which I have to delete all the time....and I don't even have music on mine!

I think the new CEO at Apple is horrible with a capital H. The new MacBooks? And iMacs, phones, ipod etc.... All failures IMHO

Although I do now own the Iphone 5 because my 4 is dying plus it is nice to have two phones... One for overseas etc... And the latest Ipod touch I got especially for my A9 at this vacation home actually. But I must say it looks not too hot. I picked out the snot green/yellow color because I thought let's go ugly all the way. lol... But the good thing I must say is that now the aluminum back covers are now very scratch resistant.

Anyway let's hope a A3 replacement comes quickly. I hope in a leather cover and speaker configuration like a bag perhaps partner with LV again but this time with speakers built into it? That will be super nice! Gosh I think that will cost $1500 at least so they better throw in a keyboard for safe measure too. Bag come cover come stand come speakers come keyboard.... Hurray! Keyboard optional I think... Will probably get too heavy when you throw everything in.

And PS... The whole prismic look is so overdone.... I did it way back in 2008 for a Book/Cd storage unit for my room. When I first conceptualized it I call it digital clouds... I was very inspired by Gareth Pugh btw.... Then HTC came out a phone called the prism then..... oh the whole craze began and never stopped even till today.

I couldn't care less how many people buy Android phones and neither do any of my friends. The only folk I sense who are emotionally involved in this bizarre "mines better than yours" are indeed Android owners.

You don't care...that's fine Wink
But I can tell you that some of the most hateful postings I have seen on this site comes from (a few) very emotionally involved Apple owners (some might say Fanboys) who really hate both Android and Windows. And who talk about Apple as it is a revelation from above...
The same persons who are complaining about "Apple bashing" are the ones who use every opportunity to bring down "non Apple" products.Hmm

Hope you are not referring to me. I however am seeing the decline of the Apple brand. It is getting old and worn out. I see a future that is more open platform. I mean who wants to be walking around with the same phone as everybody else... So unchic so to speak.

I was not referring to you - but to a few other posters, who tend to get over excited 'bout their toys Wink

I agree with you that Apple's succes might 'backfire' some day. In this world nothing is static. We have seen the decline of many 'giants'...
In the last couple of years it was like 'everybody' should have an iPhone and iPad.
I guess more and more people get tired of only having only one choice of phone. If you want something different, you can buy the 'old' model...Erm..
-or buy some ugly covers just to be a little different...Hmm

It will certainly be wise for B&O not to tie themselves too much up on one single company (A3, A8 etc.) -but to make products that can be used with all platforms.

What's trendy today, is 'out' tomorrow (metaphorically speaking).
