I have recently acquired this music centre with a pair of Beovox MC 35 speakers but minus speaker cables. Being a non techie I asked my local hi fi store to source these for me, but they have said, "The sockets in your photo are RCA phono sockets, normally used for signal connections, not speaker outputs, but B&O are a law unto themselves!  We have screened audio leads with phono plugs at either end but not speaker cables.  It's not clear how the sockets are wired so a bit more research may be required unless you can find B&O cables for sale online?" Can anyone point me in the right direction to identify the speaker cables I need and, if possible, also where to source them in the UK  please?

Hi, you will need a pair of 2 pin DIN speaker plugs, easily found on eBay, and some reasonable quality stranded speaker cable.  The connection on the speaker is a spring loaded clip, so no plug is needed at that end.

If you don't have a soldering iron, there are versions that have screw terminals.

Hi, many thanks for this advice and I have bought some cables on eBay that arrived today. Do I split the twin wires in each cable between the red and black spring loaded clips? The reason for my confusion, apart from another case of non techiness, is that the speaker cables are marked in red and black too, leading me to think that as I have four DIN sockets on the back of the Beocenterthen does each speaker require two cables? I would guess not and that it is set up for quad sound, but cannot be sure. Thanks again and regards,
