Hi,

I have received a pair of bl4500 from my mate on a long term loan.

They have been boxed in a cupboard for the last 10 years and were working perfectly then.

On connecting them to my bs3000 i noticed the sound from the right speaker was slightly lower than the left. After switching off and switching back on again the speaker had no sound at all. This now happens whenever the speakers come on. What i have discovered is that if  I slide the button on the back to automatic then back to r the speaker comes on and sounds perfect. I am thinking of getting them serviced as there is obviously something not right but just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem

Just something to check...

... is the sliding selector on the SIDE of each speaker set firmly to AUDIO?

Perhaps the right-hand one is slightly in-between settings (OFF-AUDIO-VIDEO).
