Hi - I've got two TX2 tables, the front panel play function is not the same on both.
On one of them (Type: 5913, SN: 05862793), the button works this way: You press it once and play starts; if you press it multiple times initially OR at any point during progress of the tonearm, the repeat function is activated.
On the other TX2 (Type: 5913, SN: 08160702, so a later model, I guess), the button works this way: You press it once and play starts; you press it multiple times initially BEFORE the tonearm has landed and the repeat function is activated; BUT: if the tonearm is in progress on the record, if you press the button, the tonearm return is activated.
So the big difference: On the older one, the front panel play button never initiates a tonearm return. On the newer model, it does.
Any explanation? Is it possible the functionality changed at a later point in TX2 production? Appreciate any input on this.
