I will have look at the counter weight, did not check it, also how would I earth beocord if that is the problem.

To earth the Beocord, you need a wire between the chassis of the Beocord and the earth contact of a three pin plug. However the fact this is needed means that something is wrong in the Beocord.

Hi Peter

You was right about the beogram, the pickup was not set, it's now working and sounds great.

I will have a little mess about with the beocord and if no joy I will look at getting it serviced.
