Hi - I recently bought a Beotime, advertised as faulty, so I kind of knew what I was getting myself into.

While visually beautiful, it has two problems:

1) Display 3 is completely dead, no lights, no numbers, no nothing.

2) The directional pad does not work 'to the right' which means it is impossible to access the menus, set the time etc.

I wonder if it is possible to repair it at all. Any ideas?

It’s fairly easy to get the displays off. You have to be careful if you want to take the internals out of the flute, that’s how I broke one.

The dead display might be a bad connection.

If you are real “lucky”, the ribbon cables are broken because somebody has been poking around where they shouldn’t.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
