Hi can I mount Beolab 3s on a wall. I’ve seen no options! On a budget!

Thanks very much. Thought I looked everywhere. I’ll try the eBay solution. I’ve got brackets to wall mount a pair of 6000s, but I keep getting told how much better the Beolab 3s are. Can anyone comment?

Hi Chris, well I do think the 6000s are generally regarded as quite a weak speaker to be honest with you. I have always loved their sleek design but sound wise, personally I find they lack depth and the bass is weak with little impact. I had them for several years as part of a 5.1 surround setup as rears paired with 8000s as fronts, a lab 2 and the Avant RF32 DVD as the tv. In this setup they were excellent and probably the best speakers for rears matching the rest of the setup. When the 3s came out several years later I owned a pair for a while and really loved them. They are an entirely different type of speaker though in terms of performance and I would describe them as powerful, punchy, incredible bass with lots of depth, excellent clarity across bass, mids and treble etc and of course the acoustic lens that made them sound authentic and engaging from wherever they were placed. They are great as wall speakers and could be used as fronts, rears (although wasted as rears in all honesty), standalone stereo speakers for which they are superb; really any and all combinations. In terms of performance I would rate them better than my 8000s but I can’t measure against other speakers except the 9s which I had the longest. They were not really a lot different from the 9s at similar volumes from what I recall and they complimented the 9s very well as also acoustic lens tech. I rate the 3s very highly. Really no comparison at all with the 3s vs 6000s, they are just completely different specimens. The 6000s are speakers... the 3s are beasts!

Right, I’ll get a pair of white ones and wall mount them. All I need now is a white 11-55 fret!

Thanks very much

Very nice Sandy, I always like a clean wire free setup. Sensible height too.
