Maybe it really doesn't fit in the style? They have other intresting stuff also, like marmorized Philips CD...
blah-blah and photographs as needed
Not for me and I don't like the particular wood pattern, but IMHO it looks at least half decent. If wood & glass had ever been simultaneously in fashion, something like this might well have been produced.

Isn't it just a plastic film cover? As long as you put it on properly, it should be OK but 59 Euro seems quite expensive! I imagine carbon fibre etc would also be possible.

Actually quite pretty! It's as if B&O kept the original 70's Beomaster design aesthetic instead of going down the aluminum path.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Why not, looks pretty neat!

Good eye! Definitely laminate not veneer.
Aaaa, not for me, anyway. I think wood is ok in more "Box"models like 4000 series, in these with glass panels.... Not for me.
It still looks like something you throw in your fireplace...
I don't mind plastic, if its design follows function. But I don't like so called "simil wood". I am glad that B & O shows plastic when it is used (like BeoSound 8) and does not hide it under more plastic.
