Hi again,

Sorry if this is effectively a double post: my previous issue was that the set wouldn't turn on, but now it does and has a new problem, which I figured deserved a new post title.

Backstory: the set worked when I bought it but had quite bad geometry issues, primarily the bottom of the picture curling slightly to the left and some very noticeable S-correction 'squashing' on the left and right sides. Then one day the set simply wouldn't come out of standby.

I replaced pretty much all the caps on the mainboard, and now the set does come on, with sound, etc, but the picture is:

Is this vertical collapse? What should I go looking for when I open it back up?

Solved it myself in the end. There was a broken trace in the vertical deflection circuit, but the distance to the next pad was so small I just jumped it with the cap leg. TV's back in business and looking great thanks to the new caps.
