I Just placed a new belt in a BeoGram 1500 I am working on. (The old one was old and out of elasticity, had to be changed anyway)

Topic 1:
Now the new belt is in place I noticed the platter is not rotating. The motor should be triggered when the arm is taken out of the holder. At the bottom side of the holder, there are two contacts. When I manually push them, the motor starts running.

Question 1:
Is it just a matter of bending the contact, so that they make full contact when the arm is taken out of the arm rest? Or should I solve this with a different approach?

Topic 2:
I can here a soft humming noise as soon as I push the record player button on the operating panel on the right. Even when the arm is in the arm rest, and when I take it out. Also when I push the contacts that trigger the motor to run, the humming is still there. I lifted the whole top plate, which also lifts the motor section up. From this I think the humming is not coming from the motor section, but from something that is on left side in the bottom case (just above where the transformer sits).

Question 2:
Any suggestions what this can be or how to search for the cause?

Topic 3:
I found 3 tiny parts after having lifted the top panel several times. I found them on the right side near the counter weight and the rotating point of the arm.

Question 3:
Any suggestion where these parts belong?

The parts you've found are for the motor start switch.
The long pin is the actuator, that goes inside the tonearm rest - pushing the contacts
below decks open when the tonearm is home.
This pin typically falls out, when the leads to the switch is inadvertently and/or accidentally pulled, causing the lower part of the switch contacts to rotate away from the upper part.
Is the spring also missing?

The faint humming could be from the transformer for the amplifier etc.

I did some checking based on your input Martin (Thnx!)

When lifting the tone arm, I found out. The axis, ring and small plastic cilinder are coming from the ball joint in the back of the tone arm.
I noticed because I can twist/turn the tone arm. So when looking at the ball joint I could see the horizontal axes that keeps the tone arm fixed in the ball joint is missing (see picture). So this I will have solved by placing it back.

Motor start switch
Now we know that the motor start switch problem is not caused by the actuator pin ...
I will start with cleaning both contacts in this switch. I assume they both have to make contact when the arm is taken out of its rest position. And I believe the inner one of the two switches is bend a bit away. So if cleaning doesn't do the work, I will try if bending does.

Humming noise
What would be a solution to eliminate the humming noise from the transformer?
