Hi,

This is my first post here.

I have a Beogram 5005 (MMC4) connected to Beosound Core and WISA connection (optical out to Transmit) to Beolab 50. Waiting to be allowed to travel outside Norway to collect my restored BG4000 (MMC20 CL) from Classic Audio in Denmark.

As I didn’t know the Beosound Core has a built in ADC converter I chose a cheap RIAA from Project with Toslink output. I later found out that the line out of the RIAA also work in my setup, meaning the Core must have an analog to digital converter built in in order to allow digital out to the Transmit.

With the option to use line in and digital out on the Core, this obviously opens up for more (and better) options for RIAA. But obviously the quality of the ADC plays a role similar to the quality of the RIAA. Using the BL50 ADC is not an option for me.

Million dollar question:

Does anyone know what type of ADC sits inside the Beosound Core?

Thanks for your help 😊
