Gentlemen,

Could anyone help me with a query regarding wiring the connectors on a powerlink cable? I beleive its' MKII cable.

Rather than solder new DIN plugs on the end of my cable runs, I am using B&O powerlink connectors to connect to a pre wired B&O cable.

I am a unsure what to do regarding the ground wires.

As there are two ground shield wires, is it OK to join them as a common ground or should they be connected separately? IE can I link pins 2 and 7 according to the attached diagram?

I wired one of the connectors last night & without thinking just twisted the two ground cables together. In hindsight was this a mistake?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Regards

Julian

Here is a photo of the connection box. As you can see I have twisted the two ground wires together, is this OK?

Hi JulianJ,

Yes, you are OK to join the two ground wires together, please ensure that these don't touch the other terminals (it may be worth sleeving these to prevent them touching the other wires).

Kind regards, Steve.
