Hello everyone. One of my beolab 8000 will not go on standby mode.

Light stays green. What might be the problem.

Thanks

Hi!

if this happens even if you disconnect the source cable it could be the magnetic actuator stuck. Never happened to me, but I read once online of such a case.

Disconnect the power supply and try to VERY VERY gently hammer the amply cooling metal base by a plastic hammer and check if it goes on standby (basically if the magnetic actuator is stuck on you'll help it to go back to off).

Hope it helps

G.
