HI

I have read lots of posts about memory lithium battery but after having opened my 9500 well I cannot see any lithium battery on PCB40.

Is it somewhere underneath the board ???

Then the service manual tells to return the microprocessor when "code" appears. I do not have that so problem should be else.

But when service PCB40 as said in the service manual you cannot remove the power on that board nor make a short, as this would erase the data in the RAM.

1) So where is that lithium battery.

2) I also have seen a threat talking about a procedure when the 9500 act funny but I cannot find it anymore.

3) Then somewhere a thread to check the 5 V. from the power pcb.

Hi,

no the lithium battery (Type CR2450) is hidden under the black cables right before the cd drive if you look from the front. Just right of the silver 'tin box' shielding the microcomputer.

To reset the 'CO.de' display you have to disconnect your system for about 5 minutes from the mains, get a beolink 1000 or beo 4 and press <RADIO> button on it.

Power on your 9500 and enter the code '1271'  and <PLAY> with the remote control.

This should make your system running again.

Hi ramabo

Thank you, I finally found it, there is a piece of tape on it that is why I could not see it, I really thought I was getting stupid, but it was just a thought ;)

I do not have CO.de in the display, I just have a problem wiht the setting to keep where they are.

If I adjust the sound, treble, bass, balance and turn of the unit, even without unplugging, when you turn it back on the setting are back the same as before I adjusted them.

I have read somewhere to check if I had 5 volts on that board but did not get the time to dig into the service manual yet.

Keep things simple... have you actually stored the settings at some point before turning it off?

Hi

Nope, did not know you have to store the sound too. I'll find a user manual on the net.

I had a 9000 before that I bought used so never had to do that.

Ok checked the manual but procedure says to use a beo 5000, well I do not have one.

I have a 1000, a beo4, a 7000 but none seems to have sound and store button.

Any other suggestion (other than buying a 5000)

Every version of Beolink 1000 should have SOUND & STORE buttons.

Or try Programming -> Sound -> Store on the Beocenter itself.

Programming -> Sound -> Store on the Beocenter itself.

That did the trick

and the picture helped me as you have to preset how you like before programming.
