Hi, i've recently noticed there is a breakout in the material stating "Bang & Olufsen Radio" and have a few questions:

- Is this just the radio button on the B&O app?

- Or is it a competitor to say Tune-In?

- Is it a connected service like Spotify Connect / Deezer where you can tap to join?

Thanks

It is a netradio service that B&O apparently manage themselves (and isn’t that what they have done on the BV Avant/BV11 platform for quite a while).

It is an integrated part of the newer BS on the Mozart platform and replaces the TuneIn service there - via the normal Radio button in the app etc.

And yes, you can easily Join in etc.

Whether they aim to replace TuneIn in the older NL devices - if it will be possible at all - or not, we don’t know.....there is too little information from B&O on that.

I asked Steve in the comments to his recent video on the Emerge about B&O Radio and BBC, which might be important to many beoworlders.

See his answer in the comments here:

I would very much appreciate, if others have more insight....to share here.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I also wonder if it basically the same service as we have used with BS5. Here we still have radio stations updated regularly.

I agree that radio is a core feature (still) and it is difficult to rely on 3rd parties these days.

How do you "join" when the Mozart products don't support NetworkLink?  Doesn't "join" mean play what is playing in another room via NL?

I tried a Level for a week, and the Radio was pretty much the same as the N.Radio on the BS5.  As there are hundreds (if not thousands) of radio stations, I didn't check them all, but every one I checked was available on both devices.
