This was on Gumtree for £1,000/£1,250 in Birmingham and then London for £1,500. Seller wouldn't give address or phone number. Emails came back GMT -2 hours ie eastern block. "Just deposit money in money shop" etc

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

All the time on ebay trust me. So I prefer Audiogon. Almost all listings are legit and sellers are fair.

They do have B&O listing over there. I think they still have a Beolab4000, Beocenter 2300 set there. Apparently some wife going through a divorce wants that out of her like or something. For some reason that seem to be particularly the case for B&O listings - wife wants B&O out of her life etc... Definitely not the first time I have seen this sort of listings.

Note to B&O you seem to have a huge female clientele don't alienate them. And you know what they say about the female spending power....

Out of interest, what makes you say that..  Surely you're not drawing this from one estranged wife advertising something on Audiogon ??

I despise these scammers,I WAS SELLING A CAR ON PISTONHEADS and I got a email stating that this guy was working offshore, and if the car is what I say it is, he will deposit the money into my paypal account and wanted my details. He would then get a company to pick up the car.

As i,f also why would I want to pay paypal fees?

Gumtree is full of scams,I have seen beolab 5s listed for £2750 etc  IDIOTS.

Seems like all women in my family knows and buy B&O from time to time. In fact it was my mother who got me into B&O into the first place but now she got tired of being locked into the brand.

Hear that B&O? Please make your products for flexible and convenient for use with stuff from other brands! Unless like your power link or connections still serve the function of powering displays on your loudspeakers... I suggest to just ditch it..... People upgrade all the time nowadays and sometimes it's B&O and sometimes it is not because B&O doesn't have the right product for their needs so...And I don't think people are that committed to a brand of electronics anymore unless you give them a reason too that is like Apple or something...  Convincing someone to ditch their whole set of old electronics to buy yours is a lot harder than say letting him/her buy your items one at a time.

PS. I just found that my mother the liberty of taking away my beolab 4s that was mounted to my iMac  and mounted them beside her TV whilst I have been away, the iMac is now hers too apparently. It's how the Chinese family works: what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine. But of course I am still living of my parent's generosity so... nothing to complain about except god bless that somebody is using my hand me downs... Speaking of which where are my Beocom 4s. I remember we have a couple of those laying around....

I would be very surprised if that was true, call me old fashioned, but most women I know, have no interest in audio-visual products,as long as it looks nice and does not cost much they are happy.

In my household ,the electronics and cars are my domain, and my wife gets to choose everything else ie furniture, kitchens, bathroms etc.If I buy new electronics I get her new shoes or handbag,as it softens the blow, and keeps the peace. lol.

I have asked my dealer the same question regarding customers,he tells me the only time he has sold anything to a female,is when its been a present for their husband ie phone, headphones etc.Its mainly men or couples.
