i will be getting delievered a brand new beovision contour and stand and all accessories direct from bang and olfusen in my local city (uk) as a replacement for an older beovision tv but im no longer in a position to own such an expensive tv and would be too wary of it with children around. i plan on selling it but wouldnt know a safe way to go about it

That is a real dilemma.

How about mounting it on the wall - if should be possible to trade in the stand for a wallmount......that is, if you have a suitable wall.

By the way, a lot of the beoworlders have children - they can learn to deal with a B&O tv.

If you see it from the positive side.....having a B&O tv can teach the children to appreciate good sound ;-)

If not, I am sure that you will find a lucky buyer.

thanks for the reply

the situation is that i would be happy with a 600 pounds tv and having funds available for other stuff i need such as flooring, a trampoline, ps5, new headphones etc. it would be a luxury to keep it and i would enjoy it but since i left work to become a carer for my wife and son who are ill funds arent like they were when i bought the beovision 11 in 2012

Hi anth5142,

I never, ever had a B&o replacement  of an older device by a newer one for free. And I bought some gear over the years........

On the internet the rule is, if something is to beautiful to be true, it isn't!

Sorry but the world is in that state ! So before trusting something this extraordinary, could you profide some proof?

And if you are really that lucky guy, then I apologise for making this, then inappropiate remark.

do you get the Contour as replacement for your second hand Beovision 8 - 40?

I'd talk nicely to the dealer and see if they will help sell it on your behalf.

Bizarre thread, which should be deleted. You don’t need anybody to tell you how to sell something! If you genuinely do then you leave me gobsmacked, particularly as someone who buys Bang & Olufsen. Click the link at the bottom of this page and sell it to Lee who runs Beobuyer. Job done.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

i can see how it would be bizarre to ask,but ther eis no harm in getting forum advice.  my concern is selling high priced items as its easy to get scammed through ebay, i also dont have a means of transport. i will check the beobuyer link thank you

That explains it.

If you are not that far from everything, probably the best thing would be to sell it private.

Did you ask the dealer, who brings it?

My Beovision 7-40 got damaged by lightening, put in an insurance claim and they delivered a brand new Beovision 11 to my door. That was a very happy day!!

The best would be the dealer probably. Don't even have it delivered to your house.

Tell them to keep it and selll it.
