I have a 9000 MK111 and I cleaned the laser, now the unit works perfectly except on disc 6 position when it is noisy running and clicking, all other positions ae silent running and working perfectly. any thoughts?

secondly when I press STOP on the BEO4 remote, I have 2 and the same issue, when in CD mode it pauses and displays pause as opposed to stop. I think this may be a remote programming issue.

any assistance greatly appreciated.

regards Martin

Hi,

The Beo4 remote operation is working correctly according to the BS9000 owners manual. Pressing stop will display Pause. That's how mine works.  You may notice that on the BS9000 keyboard there is no stop button, just pause.

You should run Testmodes 71 and 73 to synch up the end of travel of the sledge, that should resolve the issue.

Good luck!

Bill

Hi Martin,

it's pretty simple but there a few steps involved. First make sure there is no dust, lint, spider in the well under #6, a can of compressed air carefully used can be useful. Make you you use a cloth or something suitable to cover the sledge before you shoot any air around.

remove BS9000 from power

add Shift command to Beo4 remote

  1. press Standby and List at same time, it will show Add?
  2. press Go
  3. press list until you see Shift appear
  4. press Go
  5. press CD

plug BS9000 back to power and quickly press Shift 90258 on the Beo4 remote

you should be in test mode now

press 71 and wait until it completes

press 73 and wait until it completes

press Standby to exit test mode and retry the unit.

If it still fails, enter test mode again (remove power, wait 30 sec, restore power and press Shift 90258, then 27 once you get back into test mode. Take note of any errors listed.

good luck, don't be frustrated if you don't get into test mode the first time. Just re-read the steps and be very deliberate.

Bill

Any sound output on radio?  Are you using power link to speakers or masterlink?  If power link, have you tried re-seating the connector?  If masterlink, remove power from all ML devices, then re-seat the ML cables, and then restore power.

You could also try inserting and removing the headphone jack a few times, sometimes the reed that cuts out the speakers get stuck?
