Hi,
I have a 3000-2 that my father purchased way way back, and has been in use most of that time. I've had it apart many times to remove and clean the slide pots to lessen the noise when they're moved.
The real issue is the ganged switch-bank. Is there a way to clean it, besides blasting it with contact cleaner? I only use a tape input now for a digital player, and it sometimes works OK, but most of the time one channel keeps dropping out. If you jiggle the TAPE switch or the speaker switch enough, you can get it back, but it could go anytime. That whole switch bank causes a lot of noise when activated, and there's clearly an intermittent connection due to bad contact.
So once again it's been swapped out for the Beocentre until I can resolve this once and for all.
Not afraid of mechanics or solder.
Any help would be most appreciated.
