Hello
On my beovisin 7.40 mk2 (hd ready with dvi-i), I realized that the image quality was good when I play a dvd with the dvd player built-in and far better than when I plug the ps3 to the dvi-i and stream the same movie from my NAS.
The PS3 used to upscale source, that's what the ps3 does with my philips led tv.
But I wonder if the job wasn't done by the tv itself (buil-in upscaler).
I can't explain why the image is poorer through the ps3 and dvi.
Maybe the link between ps3 HDMi and tv socket is the cause of this difference.
When I use a game, the results are good enough (720 p).
Best regards
OLivier

I answer to myself as nobody seems interested.
The PS3 only upscale video from its dvd player, not the video streamed.
On my led tv, the files are upscaled by the tv, not by the PS3.
I will probably buy a streamer like the DUNE HD 303 OR 301 (upscale any source to 1080p).
For the moment I will use the dvd player of the beovision which does a great job.
