Dealer has quoted USD 250 for an IR eye to connect to my Beosystem 3

hoping some of the B&O folks here could advise how to wire the IR eye to work with the bs 3 and beo4 remote control? I found ones for 30-50 $us on ebay and hoping to modify with guidance :-)

there was an old thread on beoworld that had a link to a page showing how to do this but it has been taken down.

would an IR blaster work? If so any idea where to obtain this?

thank you for your kind consideration

You will need an IR receiver that accepts B&O signals.

This company does original B&O IR eyes and cheaper compatible ones. https://shop.oneremote.dk/shop/69070-ir-receivers/

The diagrams that Jack has sent are very useful, however, when I was trying to get my IR eye to work with my BS3 I had to use trial and error as none of the diagrams I found worked. I chose the smaller headphone style connection as I do not have auto contrast or a plasma screen.

This is a photo of my actual connection yhat i currently use.
