Good day all,

I have a Beoplay A9 mk1 which I love! I use it half of the time with it connected with airplay on my phone and the other half hooked up to my record player. I would love the ability to adjust the volume and switch back and forth with a remote.

I had heard the Beoplay A9 mk1 works with a Beo4 but also heard it works with the legendary Beolink 7000.

1. Does the Beoplay A9 mk1 work with a Beolink 7000?

2. Has anyone used the Beolink 7000? Any advice on day to day use would be appreciated.

3. I plan to get the entire Beosystem 7000 eventually, would the Beolink 7000 be better then the Beo control panel?

4. Is the Beolink 7000 touch screen glass kinda like an iphone or do the buttons actually have a feeling to them if that makes sense.

Thank you all!

The Beolink 7000 remote can be set to ‘one-way communication’ (default is ‘two-way’, since it was made for controlling the Beosystem 7000 and alike).

However then you will just have some very basic controls - it is the question if this is worth it.

Furthermore, if you have the Beolink 7000 and regularly use it for the Beosystem 7000, you would have to reprogram it each time you want to adress/control the A9 MK1.

Best get a Beo4 for your A9 - they are not expensive nowadays.

The ‘buttons’ on the Beolink 7000 are touch only, no haptic feedback.

Thank you so much for your advice, think I will go with the Beo4.
