Since install I’d been relying on the TV sound setting ‘Av sync - Bypass on/off’ to resolve audio sync issues on some of the web os apps - mainly ABC iView but also now Stan. (Netflix and others are all fine sync)
I’m not sure whether it’s a tv software update or the B&O app on the Tv - but now the AV Sync Bypass setting cannot be turned off, so I’m stuffed with audio issues on these couple of apps.
I’m guessing it’s the B&O app as I previously it did not let me turned eARC off.
Has anyone else has this recent issue with the B&O app stopping the AV Sync ‘bypass’ option now stuck in on?
The sound from the Stage is great , but the sync issues it’s given me are getting bigger and (because of this bypass behaviour change) becoming insurmountable.
Be great to hear if anyone had the issue - and fixed it !
For what it's worth, I noticed two webOS updates for the CX in the last few days. I personally never experienced any sync issues with the Stage, but I am also not using the apps you mentioned.
BTW, have you tried playing with the lip sync option under Sources in the B&O app? You can change the setting per app.
I've noticed this aswell a few months ago.
It's really annoying when watching some youtube videos - the audio is so much out of sync that I can't even watch them.
When i unplug the ethernet cable, I can then change the bypass. But the setting jumps back when plugging the ethernet cable back in.
I had tried the lip sync setting in the app when I’d first installed the TV last year - but didn’t have any joy (i essentially couldn’t get it do anything - turn lip sync on /off/partial) BUT today I’d tried again based on your advice - and it worked !!
I have set the lip sync value in the app for Stan and iView - and its fixed the issue … not more messing around with the LG TV sound settings turning bypass on or off..!
I have to say that the user interface on the B&O app isn’t great - the Lip Sync wasn’t obvious it was a slider (and no in-app help either).
Anyway - all sorted thanks to Beoworld !!
The lip syn in the app worked for me on my problematic apps - give it a try for yours ?

You are absolutely right. At first it is not clear in the interface that this is a slider and therefore it is easy to miss the functionality.
