We've had occasional picture muting for one or two seconds on our BV11 and thought that maybe the picture processing module was on the way out. However, we have now found the Beo4 remote is misbehaving and we can get rapid random menu changes on the TV, or even menu freezes that we cannot get rid of. If I take the batteries out of the remote and then reinsert them we can sometimes get things working again normally.

lis the Beo4 sending out random signals? Usually the display says 'TV' but sometimes it shows a software version or a display saying 'video 5'.

is this a known problem? (The BV11 operates using the Beo4 toggle version).

Never heard of that one before. Could be a problem with the touch membrane underneath the keypad. The Beo4 is relatively easy to open and inspect. Don’t forget the fourth screw under the barcode!

I might upgrade to a beoremote one and see whether that cures the problem. Apart from possible rogue signals the navi button in the centre of the Beo4 has a habit of getting loose and coming part way out of the rubber surround, especially if someone unfamiliar with it is too heavy handed.
