In my BeoGram 1500 restoration project, I also have 2 BeoVox HT500 speakers. These have a Low/mid-tone speaker and a seperate Tweeter.

All speakers are in bad condition and need replacements. For the Low/Mid-tone speakers I already found replacements. For the Tweeters I did not find replacements yet.

Specification wise, I only know this (see attached picture):

  • 4 ohm tweeter
  • Outside dimension 65 x 65 mm

Question

  • Who has information about good replacements?
  • Tweeters close to the sound of the original, and fitting in the casing.

Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 speaker drivers are bad.

The Low/Mid-tone speakers: the conus paper has been wet and now is deformed. The edged are in some spots completely worn out and have been ripped.

One of the tweeters has torn conus paper, and is heavily damaged on the edge. Therefor, I would like to replace them both for sound consistency.
