I everyone I'm moving in a few weeks and I"m taking the opportunity to refresh my system. Since my PS3 died I haven't been able to play my SACD collection.
What currently available SACD players exist that have PUC support on something like the BS3?
OPPO is out as they exited the market (and they're pricey now). I don't know of any others.

Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.
Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.
Wouldn't the Sony UBP-X1100ES fill the bill? The only question is whether it still uses the same IR codes as "any old" Sony Blu-Ray player in the PUC table -- I have no personal experience, but it seems likely. SACDs would typically be rendered thru its HDMI output, but it has a second (audio only) HDMI or in a pinch you can use SPDIF coax for PCM or Dolby Digital, plus TOSlink and analog 2-channel outputs. It isn't cheap, but compared to your B&O gear it's a bargain.
[Edit: Oops, sorry -- see the post referenced by @MM, below: UBP-X1100 fails sending PCM via HDMI audio output even with BeoSystem 4. Sigh. Used PS3 looks more appealing now... "Puh-Ray-Stay-Shun."]
The thing is that the older BV’s does not support all sampling rates.
I am pretty sure this will be the case with the BSys3 also.

Back then - as I wanted to have playback from my SACD’s on my Avant 1st gen - I went for an OPPO 103.
To my knowledge no other player is capable of playing SACD’s/multichannel on the Avant.
Please note: this is no problem on the later Sound Center based BV’s.

The issue with BSys3 and BV11 is the DSD to PCM convertion. Most SACD player will have PCM formats out which are incompatable with a BV11 and BSys3 (88.2kHz or 176.4kHz)

Probably only a test will show.

Seriously though. It seems there aren't many SACD players left. So what's a model I can buy used for < $400 that does PCM output?
Right now the standing answer is ps3. But 1) they like to cook themselves to death, and 2( no PUC.

And there is a large number of 2nd hand machines from Sony available and Sony built some pretty good players!

The mentioned players (except the Sony) are all SACD and not BR players. So do they "suffer" from the same PCM incompatibility, too?
The "Reavon" company is actually the same as HDLand.fr, which is a retailer of various electronics & media out of their Paris storefront. So whoever is making this player is either independent, or is sub-contracting for them. Even starting with the Mediatek SoC and their reference designs for circuit & firmware, development will be a real slog. Remember, part of what Oppo was doing was reporting bugs back to Mediatek for repair! So I am hopeful but not holding my breath. Yes, of course the Reavers will manufacture in PRC or Taiwan ROC. If you don't, you get Devialet-like prices.
